COMING SOON: THE DAY IN REVIEW

Many of the performances at eShowe's International Museum Day perfectly epitomised the theme of Museums and Universal Heritage: the youth of today reaching into their past so that they can carry the best of their cultural heritage into the future together.

The picturesque and welcoming town of eShowe, the historical British capital of Zululand, has been selected to host International Museum Day 2007 in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

International Museum Day will be celebrated around the world on Friday, May 18, 2007. This year's global theme, which will be echoed in eShowe, is "Museums and Universal Heritage".

The eShowe venue for the event is the fascinating Fort Nongqayi Museum Village, which comprises a set of museums and beautifully preserved historical buildings. The village site is on the western side of eShowe, only minutes away from other charming tourist attractions.

A visit to Fort Nongqayi Museum Village at any time is a "must" for anyone who seeks knowledge and insights into the absorbing history and splendid arts and crafts of Zululand.

Visitors will be welcome to join the celebration of International Museum Day on May 18, 2007, but the event is expected to be so popular that bookings are essential!
